Ahmed Shamma is an Iraqi Composer and Oud soloist, with a High Diploma from the Fine Arts college of Baghdad and a certificate for Oud Soloist (with honors) from bait Al-Oud Cairo. Over a span of 15 years has performed many concerts specializing in classical and contemporary Arabic music and started playing Oud at the age of just 16. He has dedicated a large part of his career since to teaching of the instrument gaining him an expertise in teaching music theory and has received many awards and recognitions for excellence in teaching. His first album release was “Arabian Strings” under Universal Music and has established the music band known as “Iraq”.
