Alaa shaheen "prince of oud" is a talented Jordanian Oud player, born in 1978 in Amman. His musical journey started at the age of 15, taught by Professor Naseer Shamma gaining a degree as soloist from the Arab Oud House of Cairo and a study of oriental music & music theory / bachelors in musical instrument history & theories for methods of Iraqi eastern motifs (2001) he also studied at the Fine Arts Institute of Jordan. Shaheen has adopted an innovated style of playing modern Andalusian Oud and the ability to translate the flamenco genre. He has established Zarabi Art Group, Alaa and the Golden Rhythms, Star String band. Shaheen has released Albums: Andalusia, The Arabis String, Flamenco and My Dreams. On another note he has helped patients to overcome diseases using music and has gained the title Musical Ambassador to Jordan.
