Nabil Hilaneh is a Syrian Oud musician having studied at the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus, where he graduated as Oud-soloist with honors, and went on to study and graduate from ”The Oud House" in Cairo. Hilaneh has worked as an oud teacher in various music institutions and performed in many concerts both in Syria and abroad. He was awarded a prize at the international competition of the Arabic Lute in 2009, participated in the "Festival of the Arabic lute" in Cairo (2010). He has since settled in Berlin since 2014 where he regularly performs across Europe individually and with musical orientations such as the duo: “Damasuc Berlin” oud and cello. and in the trio “Ogarit” with instrumental orientation: Oud, Nai and Buzuk.
