Born in 1965 in Tunis, the capital, holder of a PHD in music and musical sciences, Sorbonne University,1995, and a degree in professional training in the field of cultural economics and cultural financing, University of Paris Dauphine, he is an oud player and composer specializing in the Tunisian dialect. He presented more than 200 musical performances around the world that he composed, and has many scientific contributions related to the concept of musical identity and strategies for preserving and valuing heritage.

An international expert in the field of cultural policies and cultural management and in the relationship of culture in its comprehensive concept of development, he has great experience in the field of cultural management, as he held the duties as the Director of the Center for Arab and Mediterranean Music “Al-Najma Al-Zahra” and Director of the Carthage International Festival, and as the president of the Association of the Rashidi Institute for Tunisian Music, he was the Minister of Culture in the Republic of Tunisia, and has participated in many training and framing courses in the fields of cultural management, cultural governance and investment in cultural projects.
