Salma Mokhtar was born in 1995 and started learning  to play the Oud instrument at Arabic Oud House in 2014 under supervision of  Oud virtuoso Naseer Shamma. She soon joined the Arab Oud House orchestra and continues to play with the 2350BC Orchestra in shows overseas as member since 2015. Mokhtar has participated in many events and concerts inside Cairo at Cairo Opera House, Oud House and El Sawy Culture Wheel, and many other events on a national level. She continues her studies and is currently a student rallying out her final semester specialising in MASSCOMM.
