Biography:

Somar Al-Naser, Syrian soloist Oud player and composer, born in 1990, began to play the oud at the age of fifteen with Professor Samer Orabi. In 2010, he moved to Egypt to learn at the Oud House in Cairo with professor Naseer Shamma. He has also been taught by the composer, violinist, artist Abdo Dagher. He has received the Soloist Oud Player Diploma from the Arab Oud House in 2014 and worked as a teacher at Beit Al-Oud in 2013. He has participated in playing with Oud House Orchestra and in many concerts at international theatres. Al-Naser has participated in many theatrical musical projects. Since settling in France he has participated in the Aix Festival for Mediterranean Musicians and many artistic groups and projects including theatre and cinema.
